The performance indicates continued revenue expansion during the first six months of the financial year. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia highlighted the revenue performance, according to the report. The department's business expansion comes amid efforts to strengthen its parcel operations and develop additional revenue streams through its nationwide postal network. India Post operates across multiple business verticals, including mail, parcels, international services, Post Office Savings Bank, postal life insurance, and citizen-centric services. The department has also pursued business transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and increase revenue across its postal circles.
